Penguin Release
Saying Goodbye at Stony Point

After whaling ceased at Stony Point in 1930, the abandoned whaling station in Betty's Bay was adopted by African penguins as a home for their colony. It is one of two breeding grounds in South Africa, with the other being Boulders Beach. We released six young penguins back into the wild here. As the young penguins swim off into the sea, we also conclude the Notes from Rehab series.

Goodbye, and welcome home.
