Into the Badlands
A land millions of years in the making
An awesome sunset with beautiful cloud formations led to an impromptu stop at Badlands National Park in South Dakota, USA. It was one of those moments where the photos just don't do it justice. These stunning geological formations arose from sediments deposited 69 - 28 million years ago that began to erode a half million years ago. The area is also a hotbed for exciting fossil finds. We just enjoyed the view.
